The road continues

This is not the end

I rode through Rajasthan, crossed the Alps, and filmed nine hundred chapters of my life. Then, a catastrophic crash nearly finished me. I survived. The motorcycle gave way to a campervan and a convertible, but the hunger remains.

Today, I travel in Spartacus, my white Crafter van, and Speedy, my Mercedes. The open road is no longer just about the miles. It is about learning how to live with absolute simplicity.

Kevin Lear’s Great Road Trips is about far more than simply getting from one place to another. It’s about spectacular roads, mountains, hidden places, quiet mornings and those unexpected moments that make you stop and realise just how good it is to still be out there exploring.

Travelling in Spartacus, my VW Crafter campervan, I head off without pretending everything is perfectly planned. Sometimes I know exactly where I’m going. Sometimes I haven't got a clue. And, quite frankly, those often turn out to be the best days.

You'll find beautiful scenery, honest stories, plenty of humour and a slightly different way of looking at getting older.

Because adventure doesn't have an expiry date.

Riding a Triumph Tiger through the Passes of Switzerland and crossing legendary Alpine passes. Pure adrenaline, raw exposure, and the thrill of exploring the world completely unprotected.

A split second changed everything. The hang gliders above soaring like magical eagles against the stunning blue sky.

Spartacus and Speedy

Transitioning to four wheels with my custom white Volkswagen Crafter campervan and a Mercedes convertible. Slower travel, deeper appreciation, and the same relentless search for the horizon.

Era Four

The road ahead

Slower days in Switzerland, searching for a quiet home surrounded by countryside, and proving that age never closes the door on adventure. It merely changes the vehicle.
